RESEARCH DATABASE:

To amass this database, the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute conducted a comprehensive literature search for articles, master's theses, Ph.D. dissertations, conference proceedings, books, book chapters, reports and unpublished manuscripts was conducted. Among the information resources searched were Social Science databases such as Sociology, Social Work, and Psychology Abstracts, MEDLINE, OCLC and Dissertation Abstracts. Abstracts of qualitative and quantitative adoption research conducted and/or published from 1986 through 1997 are included. The research encompasses clinical and non-clinical samples, case studies, longitudinal studies, epidemiological studies, grounded theory, experimental, and single subject research. Approximately 1,000 abstracts are included and the database is updated monthly.
